    Missing Census 1870
Margaret has not been located in the 1870 census. Since she was found living with her mother on her parents' "homeplace" in 1880, and since we do not know when her husband died (or disappeared), it is possible that she was living with Elijah and Polly in 1870--they seem to have been missed by the 1870 census for Dickson County.

  • Notes
    • A "Willis C. Tull" served with the 1st KY Cav. (Woodward), organized in the summer of 1861; due to arduous Kentucky service in September-October 1862, it was assigned to other regiments, particularly the 3rd KY. Cav.

A "W. C. Tull" served with the 2nd KY Cav., organized in December 1862, and served in the Army of Tennessee.

However, since Woodward was at the head of the 2nd Cav., and since he was present with the 1st Cavalry in which a "Willis C. Tull" served, it seems likely that W. C. Tull and Willis C. Tull were the same individual.

Was this individual the husband of Margaret M. Walker? His presence in Tennessee battles indicates that it is possible.

      [12, 13]
    • A Willis C. Tull served as a private in Co A, 1st KY Cav. (Helms), M377, roll 13.
