    "Mamie Louise Horstman, 90, of Lawrenceburg, IN, passed away at 8:00 AM, Tuesday, January 13th, 2015 at the Dearborn County Hospital.

    Louise was born in English, KY on June 20, 1924, a daughter of the late Roxie (Shelton) and Norman Edward Gilmore. On April 1, 1939 she married Hern William "Bud" Horstman, who passed away on August 1, 1977.

    She was a homemaker, taking care of her family and providing a loving home for them was something she strove for and succeeded. Louise was a member of the Pocahontas, White Shrine, Eastern Star and Loving Grandmother's organizations. She was also a member of the Rising Sun Church of Christ. Louise had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening and seeing the humming birds visit. She had a happy and feisty spirit. Louise also enjoyed traveling and going to luncheons, especially with her best friend Mona Keyes. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.

    Louise is survived by two sons, William Edward ?Bill? Horstman and his wife Carlene of Rising Sun, IN; Earl Eugene Horstman and his wife Ellen of Lawrenceburg, IN; by grandchildren, Ed Horstman, Bruce Horstman, Shawn Horstman, Sonia Hauser, & Kristina Midlam; by great grandchildren, Raymond, Justin, Jason, Hunter, Josh, Clay, Jessica, Skylar, Haley & Crasley; and by great great grandchildren, Riley, Brayden & Oakley.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, by her husband Bud and by brothers Norman Edward and Charles William Gilmore.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, January 17 at the Markland Funeral Home in Rising Sun, IN. Friends are invited to call Saturday 9- 11 AM at Markland Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Rising Sun New Cemetery.

    Memorial donations may be made to the Rising Sun Church of Christ, Rising Sun Fire Department or Rising Sun Rescue."
