See as "Minnie" in the 1900 census, born June 1896. Seen as "Jennie M." in the 1910 census, age 12. The latter is clearly the same child, however, placed between next older sibling Effie and next younger sibling Wesley.

"Rail Engineer Lawrence Hale Is Dead at 60
Lawrence Benjamin Hale, 60, of SE 38 & Prospect [Prospect], died Wednesday at St. Anthony hospital.
Private services for the family only will be Thursday afternoon at the Capitol Hill funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Sunny Lane cemetery.
Born Sept. 7, 1896, at Butler, Mo, he married the former Jane Koonce in 1914.
Hale was an engineer on the Frisco rialroad [railroad], and had been with the Frisco most of his life joining the line at Springfield, Mo. He came to Oklahoma City in 1927 and had lived here since.
He was a lifelong member of the Methodist church.
Surviving are his wife, Jane, of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Pauline Gerner, Oklahoma City' Mrs. Barbara Johnson, Oklahoma City; Mrs. Constance Burns, Sacramento, Calif., and Mrs. Veda A. May, of the home; two sons, Lawrence B., Jr., Sacramento, and Robert F. Hale, Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, and two brothers, Beryl, Sacramento, and Merrill A., Oklahoma City.
The family requests that no flowers be sent and suggests contributions to the heart fund instead." |
