"Born October 17, 1896 in Wellston, the daughter of R. F. and Ida George. Married December 1, 1912 to J. W. Stokes at Fort Cobb. Came to Payne County in 1918. Lived in and near Glencoe since that time. Member of the Glencoe Baptist Church. Survived by three sons: Floyd Stokes, Rt 1; Albert Stokes, Rt 1; Calvin Richard Stokes, 227 Benjamin; three daughters: Ellen Delarven, Oklahoma City, Louise Morris, Chillicothe, OH; Mildred Sutton, Seiling; four brothers: Omar, Gilbert, Wesley and Otis George, all of Oregon, Oklahoma; one sister: Mrs. Marie Wagnor, Fresno, California; 15 grandchildren. One daughter preceded her in death."
