      FINDLEY--George Louis Findley, age 78 years, passed away at the home of his son, E. E. Findley, early Monday night. He was retired Baptists minister and had resided in the state for the last 29 years, moving from Las Vegas to Albuquerque about five years ago. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. C. H. or row and Mrs. C. W. Chandler, and by two sons, Ray and E. E., all of Albuquerque, and by two other sons, Lee of Las Vegas and Rutherford of Spokane, Wash. and by one brother. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted from theFirst Baptist Church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. A Hope Owen will officiate, assisted by the Rev. L. M. She had resided here for the last five years, coming from Las Vegas, N. M. She is survived by four sons, Ray and Elva [sic] of Albuquerque, Lee of Las Vegas and Rutherford of Spokane, Wash., and by two daughters, Mrs. C. H. Morrow and Mrs. C. W. Chandler of Albuquqerque. Funeral services will be conducted from the First Baptist Church Thursday morning at 10 o'clock. The Rev. A. Hope Owen will officiate, assisted by the Rev. L. M. Walker. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

    Name:
    Bedie's death certificate and her obituary both name her as "Beatty" Etta. These are the only instances that I have seen of this spelling. Also seen as "Beda" and "Bedy."

    Though named for her maternal grandmother, I have never seen her referenced with the full name "Obedience," and she was probably just named the shorter "Bedie."
