    • Obituary: 9 Nov 2010; Hazel Wynema Etzkorn Services for Hazel Wynema (DeBoard) Etzkorn, age 74, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010, at St. Brigid Catholic Church in Tahlequah, with Father Jeffrey Polasek officiating. Burial will follow services at Holland Cemetery in Tahlequah. A Rosary will be held at Hart Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2010. Hazel Etzkorn was born Oct. 15, 1936, in Memphis, Tenn. Her parents were Wayne and Dorothy DeBoard. On July 20, 1962, Hazel married Emil Eugene Etzkorn. She retired from Hulbert Public Schools as a cafeteria manager. Hazel absolutely loved spending time with her grandchildren as well as her sons. In her leisure time, she enjoyed working in her flower beds. She was very dedicated to her church family at St. Brigid. Hazel passed away on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, in Tahlequah. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her three sons, David Eugene Etzkorn and wife Amy of Tahlequah, Danny Wayne Etzkorn and wife Brenda of Tahlequah, and Mark Simms of Arkansas; six grandchildren, Sabrina Garner and husband Wesley, Jacob Etzkorn, Samantha Etzkorn, Jay Etzkorn, Benjamin Etzkorn, and Joseph Etzkorn; a great-grandchild expected to arrive in June 2011; as well as many other family members, friends and loved ones. The family requests that those wishing to send an expression of sympathy consider making a donation in Hazel's memory to the Saint Brigid Catholic Church Ladies Auxiliary, 807 E. Holden who died at her home eight miles north of Peace Valey Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 12:30 p.m., from cancer of the throat.
