Born Oct. 2, 1912, in Stroud, Okla., she was the daughter of Franklin M. and Annie B. (Parris) DeBoard. She married W.D. Ferguson. He died Aug. 17, 1989. She served with her husband, the Rev. W.D Ferguson in several Nazarene churches including pastorates in Buffalo, Fort Scott, Lawrence and Kansas City, Kan. They also served churches in El Paso and Abilene, Texas. She was a member of the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene and served as pianist for the senior citizens program at the Alexandria Community Center. Survivors include two daughters, Jan Rist of Mobile, Ala. and Mary Lou Archer of Anderson; six grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Edward DeBoard of Nixa, Mo.; three sisters, Eunice Buck of Atlanta, Ga., Merle Frye of Lawrence, Kan. and Geraldine Simpson of Springdale, Ark. and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a son, Donald Ferguson. A Praise and Worship service celebrating her life will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene, with her grandson, the Rev. Royal Archer and Pastor Brent Poe officiating. Burial will be in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the church after 9 a.m. Monday. Arrangemets are being handled by Owens Funeral Home in Alexandria. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene through the funeral home."

DeBoard, 88, of 2020 South 22nd, died Saturday evening at a local hospital. The Rev. DeBoard, formerly of Nowata, Okla., had been living in St. Joseph with his daughter, Mrs. Geraldine A. Simpson, for the past three years. He was born in Howell County in Missouri. He was a retired minister for the Church of the Nazarene, and he held his last office in Sillivan, Okla., in 1965. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie B. DeBoard, in 1975. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Simpson, Louis H. Ferguson of Alexandria, Ind., Mrs. Eunice D. Bac of Nowata, and Mrs. Merle C.     • Obituary: Mar 1953; Obituary of wife Lucinda: "DeBoard Kin Burial Friday Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon in the Church of the Nazarene at Davenport for Mrs. Lucinda C. DeBoard, 83, who died Tuesday, March 10. Mrs. DeBoard was the mother of Tom C. DeBoard of Drumright. Burial was in the New Zion cemetery between Davenport and Chandler under the direction of the Smith funeral directors of Drumright. Conducts Funeral The Rev. Paul Nesmith, pastor of the Davenport church, officiated. he was assisted by the Rev. J. G. Rushing of the Drumright Nazarene church and the Rev. T. C. Phipps, her former pastor in Collisville. [sic?] Mrs. DeBoard had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Eulah White of Davenport, for the last few years and was living there at the time of her death. Death was caused by gall bladder trouble and other complications Mrs DeBoard was born in in Iberia, Mo., October 20, 1869, but left there with her parents while still a child. In 1889 she was married to Adrian L. DeBoard in Mountain View, Mo., and in 1917 they moved to the Davenport area. She was the mother of nine children, three of which have preceded her in death. Her husband died in 1930. Survivors Survivors include four sons, two daughters, 22 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren. Sons are Franklin N. DeBoard, Neosho, Mo.; Artie DeBoard, Villonia, Ark.; Otis DeBoard, Turlock, Calif.; and Tom DeBoard, Drumright. Daughters are Mrs. Pearl Stogsdill, Fort Worth, Texas; and Mrs. Eulah White, Davenport. She has one step-son, Jess DeBoard, of Newark, Okla. Children preceding her in death were Mae and Annie Deboard and Len L. DeBoard. Mrs. DeBoard was a charter member of the Davenport Church of the Nazarene since it was first organized in 1908 in Pilot Point, Texas."
