    • NEWS: 26 Dec 1924, Lebanon, Laclede County, Missouri, USA; Obituary: "Aged Citizen Dies: "Aunt Jane" Atchley Passed Away Last Friday at Age of 94 Year--Oldest Resident in County Death last Friday claimed Mrs. Minerva Jane Atchley, Laclede county's oldest citizen, who passed away at her home north of Lebanon after a long illness. She was in her 94th year. Funeral services were held at 11 o'clock Sunday morning and burial was in the Atchley cemetery. "Aunt Jane," as she was commonly known, was loved and respected by all that knew her and her passing will mean a great loss to her neighborhood. Minerva Jane Bolles was born Mary 17, 1831, in Sumner county, Kentucky. She was aged 93 years 7 months and 2 days at the time of her death. She was first married to Daniel Brown in 1846. To them were born four children, three sons and one daughter, the latter dying in infancy. One son, Reuben, died Feb. 15, 1920; Samuel died August 6, 1902, and Daniel passed away last November. Mr. Brown died in 1854. She was again united in marriage August 25, 1862, to F. M. Atchley and to this union were born four children, two sons and two daughters. One daughter, Susie E. Stidham, die November 1, 1909; the other, Louella Atchley, died November 3, 1878. The sons John and Nando Atchley, live near Fate. Mr. Atchley died July 5, 1871. "Aunt Jane" came to Laclede county in 1855, having first lived in Illinois, Tennessee and Wisconsin. She first located on what is known as the Willie Mizer farm in the Bolles district, later moving to the farm on which she died. She had lived there more than sixty years. She was the oldest in a family of eight children and was the last to pass away. She leaves besides her two sons a cousin, Callie Lowery, 35 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild."
