Generation: 1

  1. 1.  Mary Olive Story was born on 28 Jan 1900 (daughter of George T. Story and Mary Electa Hill); died on 10 Sep 1900.

Generation: 2

  1. 2.  George T. Story was born about 1858 in Illinois, USA (son of John A. Story and Clarinda Vickers); died on 31 Jan 1948 in Arkansas, USA.

    Notes:

Must have been related to Samuel P. Story? They married sisters. An elderly dau of Jessie Ellen Story (Samuel P's eldest dau), still living in 2001, indicated that she believes George T. Story was a cousin to Samuel P. Story.

    From Jack STORY Jaelless@aol.com

There are lots of George Story's in our line and a lot not in our line. I do have the exact birthdate for Geo. Foster Story's son. It is 11 Nov 1849. Charity apparently changed the spelling to Storey as I believe she changed Samuel Patton to Samuel Paterson. I have two marriages I cannot identify the George's:

George Storey to Annie Vaughn, White Co IL 2 Mar 1893 George Story to Millie C Scott, Jefferson Co IL 17 May 1896

These men both in their 40's (and could be same man) at the time. Doubtful that Geo. T. and Geo. W. would be the same man. There is a Geo. Thomas Storey from White Co. area for whom there is no marriage record in Illinois. I don't have his approximate vitals at hand as I write.

    Jack Story, Belleville, IL

Much of the info on children birthdates, exact names came to me from Betty Dugger Bird, and was taken from the Bible of Mary E. Hill, kept by her daughter Clarinda.

    Notes:

Charity appears in two census families in the 1850 census; once in Randolph Co IL with her parents and two of her VICKERS children; and once with her husband George Foster STORY in White Co IL. Oddly, her youngest VICKERS child, Mary age 6, appears in the George STORY home, while her old two VICKERS children, Eli and Clarinda, appear in the home of her parents. Possibly Charity was visiting her parents when she was enumerated with them on 27 Sept 1850, and had returned home to her husband by Oct of the same year, leaving her older children behind.

    Children:
    1. 5. Clarinda Vickers was born about 1839 in Illinois, USA; and died.
