    Notes:

It is unknown where John and Emily Debord/DeBoard were in 1870. A John De Board (note space in surname) is found in the 1870 Cross Co Arkansas mortaility schedule, having died in December of that year. However, I have been unable to find any Deboard (or alternate spelling) in the 1870 census, in Cross Co Ark, nor elsewhere.
Emily appears in the home of her youngest son, Wiley Jarrett DeBoard in 1880 Texas Co MO.

John married Emily Summers on 18 May 1831 in Surry County, North Carolina, USA. Emily was born about 1812 in North Carolina, USA; died after 1880. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Notes:

Hurshel DeBord indicates that he believes John DeBoard's father to be George Debord, who married Lydia Debord 8 Nov 1803 Surry Co NC with Ben Deboard as bondsman. This George shows up in the 1820 and 1830 census for Surry Co NC and the 1840 census for Washington co VA. This is not documented in any other way.

Hurshel believes that GW DeBoard married Lydia DeBoard.

Hurshel Debord believes that he had 2 sons and 5 daughters - based on census info.

    Died:
Appears in the 1840 Washington Co VA census.

George married Lydia Debord on 8 Nov 1803 in Surry County, North Carolina, USA. Lydia was born between 1770 and 1780; died in 1830-1840 in Virginia, USA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  2. 5.  Lydia Debord was born between 1770 and 1780; died in 1830-1840 in Virginia, USA.

    Notes:

It would appear that George Debord married his cousin, since the marriage bonds clearly state that her name was "Lydea Debord." (It is possible that she was married to another Debord, but I believe she might have been referred to as Mrs. Lydea Debord if that was the case. I should check with someone knowledgeable about NC marriage bonds to see whether I am right about that or not.) The Ben Debord who was listed as bondsman could have been from either of their immediate families.
George Debord's wife, Lydia, appears on the 1830 census in Surry County, North Carolina, but is missing from the 1840 census. It is likely that she died prior to 1840; there is a female in the 1840 George Debord household, but she is probably one of George's younger daughters.

    Birth:
Based on birth of son, John DeBord, circa 1809.

    Died:
    Probably Washington County

    Children:
    1. 2. John Deboard was born about 1809 in North Carolina, USA; died in Dec 1870 in Cross County, Arkansas, USA.
    2. [Male] Deboard was born between 1810 and 1815; and died.
