• Obituary: 1956; Transcribed on the FindAGrave site: \"Maude Mae Atchley, oldest child of John and Susan (Crow) Jolley, was born May 1, 1880 in Laclede County and passed away in Wallace Hospital on Wednesday Oct.24, 1956. She was converted and baptized at an early age in one of the counties early Missionary Baptist Churches. She was married to Herbert Atchley on Dec.7, 1904 and two sons were born to this union. They made their home in the Candock district, where she lived until her death. Herbert preceded her in death May 18, 1944. Funeral services were held Sunday Oct.28, 1956 at Palmer Funeral Home with Rev. Max Copeland and Dr. Brad Allison officiating. Burial was in the Atchley cemetery in the Candock community. Escorts were Forest Layman, Ralph Layman, George Gilmore, Len Pool, Frank Davis and Marion Donald. A mixed quartet consisting of Shirley and Helen Lopeman, Gerald Harvey and Doyle Edwards, sang, \"Does Jesus Care\" and \"Face to Face\", accompanied by Mrs. C.B. Thomas. She is survived by two sons, Paul of Rolla and Louis of the home; four grandchildren, Herbert Atchley of Johnson City, TN., James of Springfield, Ima Jean Blankenship and Diane Atchley of Lebanon; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Louella McComb of Lebanon; one brother, L.A.
