James Robertson, the "father of Tenessee" was from Wake Co NC. Could he have been the father of Elizabeth Robertson? "Of such adeventurous spirit was James Robertson, a Virginian born of Ulster Scot parentage, and a resident of (the present) Wake County, North Carolina, since his boyhood."

"The express also informs, that on the 5th instant Elijah Walker, one of the mounted infantry on duty for the defence of Mero district, acting as a spy on the frontiers, was killed by the Indians, 12 miles to the southward of Nashville."

If our Elijah Walker was indeed born in 1802, or even 1801, this clearly could not have been his father.>

"15 Dollars Reward
Runaway from the subscriber living in Burke county, on the 15th of July last, a Negro boy named Moses, about 5 feet 2 or 3 inches, [high?] country born, Seventeen years of age, dark complexion, pleasing countenance, is [sure?] to show his teeth when spoken to; wore a white homespun shirt and Nankeen knee breeches; and carried no other clothes with him, he wore an old [fur?] hat with several patches, it is thought he will make for the creek nation as he made an attempt about a year ago and got as far as the [O- ? er] river. Any person that will approach and confine him in any jail in this state so that I get him again, or bringing him to me on [M'Bess?] Burke county, as above, shall receive the above reward and all reasonable expenses paid by Elijah Walker. October 8."

This is clearly not our Elijah, but may help us to keep the Burke county Elijah separate.
