May have moved to Charlotte ARK at some point. I had e-mail from a direct descendant of this line (Jeff Geisleman, jgeisleman@msn.com ) indicating that Mitchell was born 16 June 1858 in Jonesboro ARK, and died 1949 in Charlotte ARK. Also that he and Anna had the following children: willie, della, julia, charley, austin, Mamie. This info matches that contained in the 1900 Howell Co MO census.

Probably married Mitchel Winchester. Birth records show birth of Adam David E., male white, 1st child on 7 Nov 1883, Chapel Twp; father Mitchel Winchester, 21, farming, b Ark; Mother: Jalyas Roush, 18 b OH The online version of the Missouri Birth & Death records, 1883 - 1893, from the Secretary of State's searchable site, indicates her name was Joleyan ROUSH. This would sound a lot like Julia Ann. It also indicates that she was age 18 at the time of the birth of her son, Adam David E. WINCHESTER.

Death cert also states 23 July 1867.

There is some conflict regarding Alice (Gilmore) Bucklin's birth date. The obituary offers a date of 23 July 1867; her father, in a pension statement, offers 23 August 1868; the 1870 Macon County, Illinois, census states that Alice is 11 months old, born the previous July. The latter, while secondary evidence, is direct evidence, given closer to the time of the event, and carries more weight. All accounts agree on the day as the 23rd of the month. Only her father's statement offers the month of August rather than July.

She was actually the wife of John Franklin Hussey, as confirmed by the marriage cert of daughter Era Dell Hussey, 1924, witnessed by Mervin Hussey. Mervin was also the informant for Margaret Louise's death cert, which named him as her son--and also named her parents as John Hurlbert and Jane Ann Gilmore.
