Sangamon Co IL? I found a reference on ancestry.com which indicates that Minnie Ellen HILL was born 4 Aug 1869 in Sangamon Co IL. This county is right next door to Morgan Co IL, where the family is found in the 1860 census.

Since the Benjamin SUTTON family and the John Lawson CLARK family married one another frequently, I have assumed that the John SUTTON listed in Benjamin's home in the 1860 census is the same John SUTTON that married Thirza CLARK. He would only have been 15 at the time of marriage, but Thirza would only have been 14, so it is possible, though amazing.

Single sheet listing of Walker family births, which came loose from the Helton Rutherford Walker Bible. The Bible was left to Rutherford's eldest daughter, Eudocia [Walker] Stokes; from Eudocia it passed to her son, William Earnest Stokes; William Earnest passed the Bible down to his daughter, Clarice Marie Stokes, who left it to her daughters, Pat and Mona. The single sheet is in the possession of Pat Simmons, 8336 S. 77th E. Ave, Apt 1218, Tulsa, OK 74133, telephone 918-286-1549. The Bible is in the possession of her sister, Mona.

Solomon Hopkins was probably the son of James Hopkins (1765-1849) of North Carolina, also buried at Hopkins Cemetery, along with Solomon's mother, Elizabeth (Billingsley) Hopkins (1775-1848). Solomon was probably born in Wilson County, Tennessee. His family also moved to Illinois and finally ended up in Polk County, Missouri.

Some sources (cemetery stone?) cite her birth year as 1848. However, I believe 1850 must be correct. She is not listed in the 1850 census with her parents in White Co IL, although her brother is. Her mother was probably pregnant at the time.
