Unknown relationship to James CUNNINGHAM (ID#2589), b ca 1812 PA. They are both found in the Hardin Co Iowa Census of 1870, both born in the same state. Found near S.B. is a Benjamin CUNNINGHAM, b in IND, whom I imagine may have been the son of S.B. If so, S.B.'s family followed the same migrational pattern. This is worth following up, at any rate.
Was the Coroner of Hardina Co Iowa After discovering the extensive biography of S.B. CUNNINGHAM on the Hardin Co Iowa site, I am less certain that he is related to our James CUNNINGHAM. However, there is still the circumstance of two CUNNINGHAM families from PA, both of whom moved through OH and IND to Hardin Co IA. Worth keeping for future reference. The biography would not allow a copy and paste, so I converted it to a pdf file. TMG does not support pdf, so it is not attached as an exhibit. The pdf is in the genealogy files on my computer under Research and Cunningham. | Cunningham, S.B. (I2269)

Unreliable Ancestry tree offers this date of death,
However, an administrator was appointed for Isaac L. Shelby, deceased, in Montgomery County, on 27 October 1835. An 1830 census record in Montgomery Co for "Isaac Shelby" suggests that this is another man, as his implied age is between 30 and 50, and Isaac L. Shelby would have been only 18.
There may have been a relationship, however, which could be why Isaac L. Shelby was usually identified with the middle initial. | Shelby, Isaac Laughlin (I9065)

Usually referred to by researchers as "Winnie Howe" or "Winifred Howe." I believe she was actually Winifred Louise Parker, who was married first to Unknown HOWE or HEALMS or HOLMES.
This conclusion is supported by:
1. The 1880 Jefferson Co IL census for Levi WALKER and wife Winnie, lists his mother-in-law, Louisa PARKER, as a member of his household, as well as 12-year-old step-son Charles HOWE.
2. A search for Louisa PARKER in the 1870 Jefferson Co Census finds her as Louiza PARKER, with husband William (see individual census data). In the household is daughter Winnie HEALMS, with son, Charles HEALMS, age 2. Clearly this is the same Winnie that later married Levi WALKER. Possibly the surname HEALMS/HOWE was recorded wrongly in the 1870 or 1880 census - in any case, it is reasonable to conclude that Winnie's maiden name was PARKER.
3. An obituary for Winifred Louise Walker appears in the 1837 Mt. Vernon, Jefferson Co IL, newspaper. Unfortunately, my copy, which was located online, is not dated (I am attempting to obtain a copy of the obit, but it is not yet in my possession). The obituary states that Winnie was married to L.V. Walker on 5 April 1880, and that he preceded her in death on 18 March 1923.
4. The 1930 Jefferson Co IL census finds Winnie L. Walker as the head of her household, which includes widowed grandson Burrell Walker and single granddaughter Florence HOLMES.
From the above data, it is reasonable to conclude that she was Winifred Louise Parker. That she first married a man named HOWE or HEALMS or HOLMES. That she is found in her parents' home in 1870 at age 18, with a son from her first marriage named Charles, and a daughter named something like Lausetta (name illegible in 1870 Jefferson Co IL census). That the infant daughter probaby died at an early date. That she may have married a second time or been reunited with the first husband, since she had another son around 1874, named Norman, also listed in the 1880 household as a step-son. | Parker, Winifred Louise "Winnie" (I2956)

Walter Lewis Warren b. 25-Jan-1881 son of James A. Warren and Elnora Parmenter was born in Ellis Co., Kansas. His siblings were Hiram Benjamin Warren and Sarah Elizabeth Warren (twins) born 22-Oct-1882 in Ellis Co. Kansas. His parents divorced in 1887. James remarried Anna Mary Treaster in 1888, Hays City, Kansas. James and Anna had two daughters, Mary Angeline and Irma Louise. This tells you of the 2nd and 3rd families. My grandfather was by the 1st marriage to Sarah B. Woods James A. abandoned the first family living in Missouri and went to Kansas were he met and married Walter's mother. (Like father like son.) Sarah died 16-Oct-1881 in Missouri. What is so ironic is that the first family always spoke of James A. being a doctor and went to treat sick Indians and never returned. (He was a medic in the Civil War for the North.) That story was believed until 5 years ago when I started my research. Some members of my family refuse to believe of the other two families, but I have many documents including Civil War pension records of James A. that spells it out clearly. He had to tell the truth to get a pension. We found the grave of James A. in Carthage, Missouri in the GAR section of the Cemetery. I didn't mean to write a book. If you want more dates let me know. Was living in Spartanburg Co SC in 1781 when he was called to service in the Revolution.
Moved from Spartanburg Co SC to Caldwell Co KY From the website of Michael Brown (see citation) "He settled on Cooper's Creek about two miles south of Smithville, Arkansas on what was later known as the J. N. Hillhouse place. He and his family were among the first settlers of the Strawberry River country. Nathaniel's farm was about three miles north of the famed "Old Taylor Mill" which was built on the Strawberry River about five miles south of Smithville. In January of 1833, Nathaniel appeared before the Independence County Court which approved his application for a Revoluntary War Pension. It is not known where Nathaniel and Martha McCarroll are buried, but it is believed that they are probably buried in the Hillhouse Cemetery which is located very near where their house was." | McCarroll, Nathaniel (I2676)

We don't know if Elizabeth was the mother of all of "Progenitor's" children.
1820 census places her age between 26-45, calculating to 1775-1794.
Birth of "beloved son" George in 1801 (if she was not mother of the older children) suggests that she was at least 14 by that time--probably older--and was therefore likely born between 1775-1786.
The one census is the only direct evidence we have of Elizabeth's age. If it is right, she could not have been the mother of Archalaus or Samuel. She might, however, have been the mother of Elizabeth, Polly, Jacob, Joseph, Ritha, George H., and Elijah. | (--?--), Elizabeth (I3442)

William's 1891 marriage record names his wife as Anna Selinghan, which suggests that the name may have been the more familiar "Selingham." The 1900 census supports this as he has two step daughters in the home named Sellingham.
The 1901 marriage of step daughter Mary Sellingham, however, names her parents as George Sellingham and Anna Keller. Additionally, Anna Sellingham is found in the 1880 census home of her Keller family.
