Although Eva was enumerated with her parents in 1920, this is probably her in a double enumeration. This individual is the right age, born in Missouri, and she is employed as a book keeper in a grain elevator--precisely the employment of Eva Lasater in her parents' household in the same year. 

Although it is surprising to find Clarence's SSDI listing in Georgia, two things make it likely that this is the right Clarence:

• The SSDI lists his birthdate as 20 August 1890, and the 1900 Dade County census indicates that the subject Clarence was born August 1890
  
• A Jesse Lasater is also found in the SSDI, a resident of Georgia at the time of his death. The Jesse Lasater found in the SSDI also has the right birth month and year.
  
• While it is not known why Jesse and Clarence both moved from Missouri to Georgia, it is likely that the Georgia listing is indeed them.
  

 

Although it is surprising to find Jesse's SSDI listing in Georgia, two things make it likely that this is the right Jesse:

• The SSDI lists his birthdate as 26 December 1892, and the 1900 Dade County census indicates that the subject Jesse was born December 1892
  
• A Clarence Lasater is also found in the SSDI, a resident of Georgia at the time of his death. The Clarence Lasater found in the SSDI also has the right birth month and year.
  
• While it is not known why Jesse and Clarence both moved from Missouri to Georgia, it is likely that the Georgia listing is indeed them.
  

 

Although John's death record indicates a birth date of 29 May 1858, that would have made his birth a scant 8 months after the birth of his brother Jacob--possible but unlikely. The 1900 census offers "May 1860" for his birth, and it is likely that the date was actually 29 May 1859 or 1860. 

Although the Hartley family was enumerated in 1820 Dickson County, Tennessee, and were believed to have lived there continuously until their move to Bond County, Illinois, about 1831, Dianne Erwin (Hartley descendant and researcher) posted information on the Cedar County website that indicates that Solomon, alone of the Hartley children, was born in Roane County, Tennessee. 

Although this census enumerates "Allen J. Lasater," it seems clear that it is actually James A. Lasater, with a name reversal

• Allen J. Lasater of this enumeration was born about 1895, Missouri; James A. Lasater was born 5 December 1894, Missouri
  
• Allen J. Lasater is married to "Ruth"; "J. A. Lasater" married Ruth Kelley in 1924, Dade County
  
• The eldest child of this Allen J. Lasater and wife Ruth is 5, born about 1825, compatible with a marriage date of 1924
  
• James A. Lasater, single, was enumerated in 1920 with his parents; he was not found in their home in 1930
  
• James A. Lasater served in the Navy in WWII; Allen J. Lasater is enumerated as a veteran of WWII

Ancestral File (FamilySearch) gives birth as 29 January 1842, Macoupin Co IL.

!850 census indicates "J. R. Riley" age 8, supporting a birth year of 1842, in Illinois.

1900 census gives birth as "January 1842." 

Andrew J. Hartley married Sarah J. Fox in 1866. They were enumerated in 1870 Cedar County with one child, Mary G. Hartley, age 1. They have not been located in the 1880 census, but a Mary G. Hartley of the right age is found living with Asa and Mary (Hartley) DeLozier and is designated as "niece." Also in the home is 5-year-old George Hartley, "nephew." It seems possible, even likely, that both of these are the children of Andrew J. and Sarah J. (Fox) Hartley.

An 1888 death date, unsourced, for Andrew appears consistently among internet sites for the family. However his children's presence in another home in 1880 makes one wonder if he died prior to that date.

Nothing further is known of Andrew's life and death. No cemetery listing has been located for him. Nothing further is known of his wife, Sarah J. 

Ann died of "Plithosis pulmonalis," or tuberculosis.

George's second marriage registration indicates that he was a widower when he married the also widowed Helen (Wilkie) Milne. 

Annie was living at the time of her husband's 1970 obituary. 

Annis's first husband died in 1935. Her brother Othal's 1977 obituary stated that his sister "Mrs. Myrtle Reeder" was living in Mulberry [Crawford County], Kansas. 

Appears as "Mahala" in census with her parents in 1870 and 1880. Her death index lists her as "May Preston," identified correctly by her parents who are named in the index as "Hugh Marshall" (father) and "George" (mother, with no given name). 

Appears only in 1851 census in the household of Betsy Henderson, as grandson. Possibly not Elizabeth's son? Not located in birth records or death records for Scotland. 

Appears only in the 1870 census, name difficult to read, possibly Jerry or Terry. Does not appear in 1880, may have died young. 

Appears only on the 1880 census with his family, and his name is illegible. "Male" is clearly marked, however. 

Appears to be "May" in 1885 state census.

Arcenith Walker's 1904 biography states that he has a sister "Mary Morrisey" in Illinois, identifying the Mary Walker who married John Morrissy in 1863 as Arcenith's sister and another child of Elijah and Charity (Dove) Walker. 

Arch's obituary states that he was "raised" in Georgia. If he was born in 1783, this probably indicates a move to Georgia by the time he was age 5 or so. We know from the birthplaces of subsequent children that they remained in Georgia until after 1802. 

Archibald Walker & others versus George H. and Elijah Walker, seeking to prove that Elizabeth Walker was not of sound mind when she executed the deeds of gifts (a slave to each) to George H. and Elijah in January 1823. Juror Nathan Tubb was excused on the morning of the 11th and no decision was made.

Article in the Oregonian indicated his death on 20 July 1919, but it said it was citing the 19 July 1919 edition of another newspaper. Clearly some minor date discrepancy here. FindAGrave indicates a 10 July 1919 death date. 

As Almira does not appear in Richard Hartley's household in the 1870 census, she probably died prior to that date, but certainly prior to his Goodspeed biography, which specifies that she is not living. 

As he is found in the 1850 and 1860 census in Morgan County, this information is in conflict with other data. 

As is usual with this name, spellings vary. He is usually seen in census and other official documents as "A. C. Walker." However, his son Francis Marion Walker's 1912 Barton County, Missouri, death certificate names him as "Archless Cleveland Walker," confirming the first name of "Archalus." 

As mentioned elsewhere, John is sometimes seen as Jonathan. In two census records he is given the middle initial "G" while his death record offers a middle initial of "M."
