Levi S. Walker's biography of his own father, Simeon Walker, states that Simeon's parents were Abram and Rhoda (Beauchamp) Walker, and that his paternal grand father was James Walker. 

Levi's 1900 census enumeration lists both "Verna" and "Vena" as daughters, both born in January 1889, middle initial for both may be a "C." Apparent twins. One birth record apears in the FamilySearch Illinois Births and Christenings, 1824-1940," for a "Vera Myrtie Cora Walker" born on 22 January 1889--clearly the other sister would have been born the same date.

Additionally, Winnie's obit names surviving daughters "Verna McBride" and "Vena Hawkins."

Difficult to sort out which is which, so which is Vera Myrtie Cora?

Likely twin of Hiram? Both listed as age 8 in the 1860 census, and Maria listed after Hiram. 

Lila was listed in the 1945 Stockton city directory r as "Mrs. Lila Gormsen." She was also listed as "Lila Walker," at the same address. Her husband, Chester, was listed at a different address. Chester served in WWII; it is possible that they were temporarily separated after his return. The 1947 directory lists them together at the same address. 

Listed in Virgil's obituary as "Betty Curtiss Reeves," it is not clear whether Curtiss was her middle name or her maiden surname.

However, a "Betty Curtis" is found in the 1940 Elbert County, Colorado, census, age 14. It is overwhelmingly likely that this is the right Betty Curtis--particularly since they were living next door to a Moreland family, and Marshall Reeves had married a girl by the name of Moreland.

Louisa's 1880 marriage record (to Sharp) names her as "Louise Alex Woollums." 

Lovel's WWI draft reg gives his birth place as Dickson Co TN.  

Lula's age is consistent throughout census with the birthdate attributed to her by her cemetery marker (FindAGrave), with one exception. The 1900 census offers a birth of June 1874.

Online family trees consistently name her parents as William "Billy" Beech and Frances Catherine Harrison. The Beech family is found in 1880 Giles Co TN, prior to Lula's birth. Lula was married to Mayhew Walker in Giles County and it is reasonable to assume that she was probably born in Giles County. 

Mabel's death index offered her birthdate as 4 September 1892, the day and year in agreement with Wilda Phipps Beasley's family group sheet, but the year a year earlier. The SSDI also offers her birth as 4 September 1892. 

Maiden name from descendant sheet; death index names his wife as "Sophia E. Brown." 

Maiden surname given as "Radtke" on her son's death index. 

Maiden surname on her son's death certificate is not clear, but may be "Lense" or "Tense"? 

Manoah's 1910 Washington State death certificate indicated that his father was "Paton" Walker and his mother Martha Huddleston. 

Maria last appears in her family home in the 1870 census. She is not listed among the living heirs of Aaron Walker in March 1880. 

Marriage bond dated 2 December 1876, bond signed by Calvin and his younger brother Alonzo Denson Walker.

Marriage date and place, and husband's name from descendant sheet found on the web (see citation). The 1880 census supports both the wedding date (eldest child William J., born abt 1865. Also, Cynthia A. Vaughan's identity as the former Cynthia A. Hill is supported by her middle initial, her age, and the naming of her children. Additionally, she is found on a page with other George and George-related families. 

Marriage date based on age of son William Hill, 12, in the 1860 Floyd County census.

The 1840 census reflects a "William Hill," age 30-40, with a son age 15-20. On the same page is the Robert M. George family (Mahala's family), in addition to other George families and affiliated surnames. It is likely that Mahala married a son from this family; the naming of their eldest son "William" supports this likelihood. There is another William Hill in the county at the same time, but the lack of proximity makes him a less likely candidate. 

Marriage date estimated from age of eldest child in 1940, age 10. Crusoe was enumerated single in 1930. 

Marriage license and bond dated 23 February 1869, presuming a marriage soon after. 

Marriage license appeared in San Francisco newspaper on 12 January 1898. Presumably, they married soon after, and probably in San Francisco.
