3218 Either her maiden name was Vickers, and her first marriage was to a VEACH, or vice versa. Veach, Drucilla (I2922)

3219 Eldest child, Elizabeth, is age 8 in the 1860 Newton Co MO census. Family (F816)

3220 Eldest daughter at home in the 1860 Howell Co MO census is 18; therefore my best guess is that Martha and Nathaniel BARNETT were married prior to 1842. Family (F520)

3221 Elezer Griffin Minister of the Gospel Family (F1007)

3222 Eli is presumed to be the eldest child of Charity ADAMS by her first husband, James VICKERS. He is found at age 18 in the 1860 Iron Co MO census, along with Mary VICKERS (age 14). It is possible that he is another sort of VICKERS relative - but is likely to be her son. Vickers, Eli (I1834)

3223 Elijah was appointed administrator for the estate of his son James L. Walker. Does this indicate that he owned property? Walker, James L. (I2438)

3224 Eliza probably died prior to 1880. I have located a Thomas SHORT in the 1880 Saline Co IL census with a number of children whose mother was listed as b in IL. He is married to a Julia, age 30, b TN. The youngest child was 3. The eldest child was Alexander, b ca 1868. From this I draw the conclusion that Eliza died between 1877 and 1880, and that Thomas married quickly. It is possible that Eliza died in childbirth in 1867, with the birth of the youngest child, Thomas. McKenzie, Eliza Jane (I3101)

3225 Eliza's parents were probably Benjamin SIMPSON (b ca 1815 MO) and his wife Carolina (b ca 1818 TN), who are found next door to Eliza and William CLARK in athe 1860 Osage MO census. Simpson, Eliza J. (I3061)

3226 Elizabeth M. WALKER is found in 1840 in the home of her father, Elijah WALKER, age 16. She is no longer in the home at the time of the 1850 census. It is more than likely that she married in this period. Family (F756)

3234 Email, 29 May 2015, from research librarian, Elgin County, Merrill Taylor (mtaylor@elgin.ca):

Dear Janis,

Thank you for your email.

Unfortuneately, the newspapers that I have access to do not go back far enough for James but I did look up variations of Gilmour in St. Thomas Daily Times ( 1883 - 1900 ) and St. Thomas Times-Journal and other St. Thomas papers (1901 -1960; post 1960 in progress) with no success.

I did find Gillmore, James, 20 Sept 1878, 49 (name, year,page) under Evenden Funeral Home Index 1873 - 1884

I did find a picture of the "Thomas Williams House"
https://www.flickr.com/photos/elgincountyarchives/8652591644/ information on the "Thomas Williams House" in St. Thomas ON

I did find where Emeline was buried.

Gilmour, Emeline TWHL died Mar. 1, 1901
St. Thomas West Cemetery
Additional Burials from cemetery records
BURIALS WITHOUT MONUMENTS and ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM BURIAL REGISTERS
In addition to the transcription of the monuments in this cemetery, information was gathered by the late Max Doan from a booklet published by the Elgin Historical Society: St. Thomas Cemetery - A List of All Burials From 1869 to 1889. Information for later years was also obtained from the Cemetery Office.
Please note that some of the following names may have monuments in the cemetery, but additional information was found, such an exact date of death or burial.
The second column refers to the section of the cemetery in which the burial is located. The number that follows that letter refers to the lot number within that section. It appears that the Section identification and the lot number do not always correspond with the Section and Stone Number found in the Elgin OGS transcriptions.
The abbreviation "SG" indicates the location of the burial is in the section called "Strangers and Babies Ground" of this cemetery. The abbreviation "TWHL" refers to "Thomas Williams Home Lot".

A couple of sites you might find of interest ...
http://www.elginogs.ca/Home where on the left hand side you can click on ancestor indexes to find newpaper, cemetery and funeral records.
http://www.elgincounty.ca/archives most likely could assist as well.

Good luck with your search!

3235 Emily? Devore, Elmley (I744)

3236 Emmaline's daughter, Ida Frances Roush, was born 11 Feb 1878. Ida's death certificate indicates that she was born in Carthage [Jasper County], Missouri. It is likely that Emmaline died of complications in childbirth, although we do not have her death date. It is also likely that her death occurred in Carthage. Cunningham, Emeline (I3258)

3237 Entry in Ancestry's Missouri marriages reflects marriage of Bessie F. Clark to Toy Nichols [sic]. However, the digital image doesn't give their names--probably they were on the inside of the jacket that was filmed. The inside of the jacket either was not filmed or was not put on Ancestry. A number of databases reflect this marriage date, which is compatible with the birth of their first child and with Bessie's statement that she was 17 at her first marriage (1930 census). Family (F2425)

3238 Enumerated together 1920, son born 1920, daughter born 1923. James H. remarried 1925. Lucy married a man named Goode but may have died prior to the 1930 enumeration. Family (F292)

3239 Esther Pratt "I think our Walkers have some kind of connection to Isaac Walker (Rev. War Soldier). He had a son named John Ike Walker but have not found a full list of all his children. Our Elijah could be a grandson?! This Isaac lived in GA and KY before coming to Tenn." ? Walker, (Progenitor) (I3338)

3240 Esther Pratt states: "The record of Elijah to Polly McMillan was blown from the marriage book, but the original was in a drawer in the courthouse, was saved, and I have a copy." Family (F569)

3241 Esther Pratt: "Living 1885, in division of estate had several names. 10 boys, and 1 girl See census info in research log. Married a LARKINS?"
