I believe that 1780 is as close as we can arrive at a birthdate for Samuel at this time. In the 1830 census he is 40 to 50 and in the 1840 he is listed as 50 to 60. | Cunningham, Samuel A. (I2393)

I believe that Issareal CLARK in the 1860 census and Isaac CLARK in the 1880 census are one and the same. Their ages are close. They are both blacksmiths, they have children named the same, in the same order, although the ages are not precisely the same.
The child called "Emiline" in the 1860 Howell co MO census should undoubtedly be "Caroline." There are many such similar mistakes in the census transcription.
Interviews with Janet Cochran (417-284-3031) and her elderly mother, Mrs. Russell McCann (417-284-3534) who both live at Amy, Howell Co, MO. They descend from the BLACK line (and Nancy CLARK, dau of Isaac CLARK). They state that the Isaac CLARK family settled in Howell Co MO, but went back to Osage Co MO during the Civil War. Not very many families remained in the unstable and dangerous Howell Co at the time - perhaps fewer than 200. After the war, obviously they came back.
Father, Robert Clark (?), died in Putnam Co TN (Info from Jim CLARK)
Parents may have been Isaac O. CLARK and Nancy BOUNDS? Website http://members.aol.com/BCrowt0509/sc/d0006/g0000056.htm#I1768 lists the 1850 Isaac CLARK data, and indicates that his father was Isaac O. CLARK. Indicates that the elder Isaac CLARK was born ca 1779 VA, and that he married Nancy BOUNDS on 6 Aug 1794 in Knoxville TN.It further states that he died 1 Jan 1838 in Jackson Co TN. Children: Elizabeth CLARK William CLARK Jesse B. CLARK Annie CLARK Polly CLARK Ruth CLARK Frances CLARK Susan Slates CLARK Sarah CLARK Tempie CLARK John CLARK Isaac O. CLARK , Jr. Another file indicating that his parents were Isaac O. CLARK and Nancy BOUNDS. http://members.tripod.com/~mewcmw/cmwline/g0000283.html#I6981 Indicates that his grandfather was David CLARK - goes back to Virginia, and marries into a Leonard family - we are getting closer to linking the two CLARK families. WorldConnect file indicates that his parents were indeed Isaac CLARKE and Nancy Ann BOUNDS, but that his grandfather was Andrew CLARKE - not David. All of Putnam and Jackson Co's TN. Previously NC & VA. BOUNDS family from MD.
Possible parent: Joseph CLARK, found in 1850 census, fam #582 White Co TN ,age 65, b NC. Possibly this Joseph CLARK was a brother to Darius CLARK, and both were sons of Rev War soldier Burgess CLARK? [see e-mail from Diane Anderson]
Robert CLARK, from Augusta Co VA? Died in 1822, Jackson Co TN. (Info from Jim Clark - found on the internet, and completely unconfirmed.) | Clark, Isaac (I2973)

I believe that Sarah must be the daughter of Lucy J. HILL and her husband, John BOLERJACK. She is found in the home of William Anderson HILL in 1880, listed as niece. Lucy is the only sister of William that is known to have married a BOLERJACK. | Bolerjack, Sarah E. (I2063)

I believe that this may be the same George ROUSH that is found in the household of Frank ROUSH in the 1860 Oregon Co MO census. The census states George Roush's age as 22, which would put his birth around 1838. Info on his death came from the Roush Family in America book -- which contains many other notable errors. | Roush, George (I161)

I believe this is likely to be Samuel Alexander Story. The age is approximatley right, as well as the birth state. The fact that his first several chidlren were born in Missouri further supports the likelihood, since Samuel A. Story was known to be living in Howell County, Missouri in 1910 (census) and as late as 1917 (WWI Draft Registration). Additionally, he states that his father was born in Illinois. Also, we know that he had a son named Robert, who lived most of his adult life in Prineville, Crook County, Oregon (testimony of my mother, Lula F. DeBoard Walker).

I believe this must be the correct couple, although I am at a loss to explain Adeline's surname of Blackmer, unless it was from a previous marriage; or unless she was perhaps not Adeline Cunningham, but another Adeline in the family. Clearly she wrote to Cora Emma Roush and talked about mutual relatives. It is unlikely, particularly given the scarcity of the name Burnham in the Gove County records, that there could have been another Burnham married to an Adeline. The date of the marriage coincides more or less with the known earliest date of their residence in that area. | Family (F658)

I found a WorldConnect file with a Mariah McCARROLL who married David W. CRAVENS in Lawrence Co ARK. This Mariah's birth year would have been two years before our Jane McCARROLL, so that fit with the info on the McCARROLL website which listed a Mariah McCARROLL as the daughter of John & Nancy McCARROLL - and just above Jane.
The 1850 Lawrence Co ARK census reflects David W. CRAVENS and his wife, Mariah. They have a daughter Nancy, which also leads me to believe that we have the right Mariah in the right place.

I had info that Martha Armelia was married to a COBB - from my father. Only gradually did I realize from marriage records that she must have first been married to a GRIFFIN - and was able to locate that record, as well. These two marriages are firmly established, by putting together info from the marriage record of Martha DeBOARD to Caleb GRIFFIN, then the marriage of M.A. Griffin to James W. Cobb, then the birth record of a son to James W. Cobb and Armelia DeBoard. | Family (F324)

I received a letter while I was on the trip from a fellow researcher who is a descendant of John Lawson Clark's son, George Thomas Clark George had a son named Lewis and this is his descendant. One bit of information which I find interesting is she said that one researcher in Osage Co. said that John Lawson and his wife are most probably buried in unmarked graves in either the cemetery at Bailey Creek or New Providence. She stated that John helped found both churches. | Clark, John Lawson (I2831)

I said that Jacob Owen was my Great Great in fact he was my Great Grandfather. In looking at your message I noted that the Howell County Census said that James Ira should be Iva that is incorrect. If was in fact Ira. Also, the family children were as follows for the Wilbanks, James Ira was the oldest born Oct. 7, 1898 died April 23, 1975, buried at Willow Springs, City Cemetery( he was my Grandfather) Elmer Owen Born Feb 20, 1899 Died Nov. 29 1982, buried at Antioch Cemetery, Edgar Wiley Born April 5 1902 died March 27, 1980, Buried Howelll County cemetery,George Andrew Born Feb 16 1911 died March 23 1963 Buried at Howell County Cemetery. Maggie Deboard is also buried at Antioch Cemetery and she came from Illinois, according to information that my mother provided. Thand you for the information that you were able to provide. In possession of my father, William D. Walker. This Bible, copyright 1869, may not have belonged originally to James Boyd Campbell, who was born in 1871. It is unlikely to be his father's Bible, because he was not a church-going man. It may have been from his wife's family, Lucy Westley (DeBoard) Campbell, the daughter of Iva G. DeBoard and Martha Louisa (Davis) Allen Campbell. However, the designated family pages contain family data regarding the Campbell family, whereas the DeBoard family only has recorded data on a blank page following the New Testament title page.
