Occupation, saw filer (Charles was employed in this profession)
Conflicting:
Age "about 55"--Charles would have been more like 65, but the informant may not have known him well (he didn't know his parents' names--basically knew only where he was born.
Death cert says he was "widowed." Esther Gilmore, his second wife, is found living with her son Albert Morrison in Alpena Co in 1910. While she may have died, they may have simply been separated. Her marital status in 1910 was married, but it indicated a first marriage, when clearly she was married to a man named Morrison previous to her marriage to Charles. | Gilmore, Charles Wallace (I133)

Michael S. Caldwell is a descendant of John Alden & Priscilla Mullins, through the BASS>WEBB>HAYDEN line. His research is thorough, and well-presented. His e-mail address is msc@nyc.rr.com
He was able to photograph the pages of a family Bible containing the following information:
The Family Bible of Thomas Osburn Hayden and his wife Mary (Hayden) Hayden, transcribed by Michael Scott Caldwell 8 July 1999. As of July 1999, the aforementioned family bible is in the possession of Mrs. Evette Anderson, 2009 Kansas Avenue, White Oak, Pennsylvania. I viewed and hand-transcribed the bible on 8 July 1999, with Evette's full cooperation. I also photographed the pages, as the bible seemed to be too fragile to be photocopied. Stamped on the inner cover of the bible is the name of Lewis T. Hayden, East Liverpool, Columbiana Co. Ohio. Lewis was a grandson of Thomas Osburn Hayden, being the son of Thomas' son William.
The Bible was printed in 1815. Thomas Osburn Hayden was married in 1816, so I feel it is safe to assume that the bible was given to Thomas as a wedding gift, and that at least a portion of the handwriting is either his or his wife's.
Much of the bible is still legible, but the parts that weren't are indicated by underscores: [____].

Minnie Bertrude Walker was born at Trask, Missouri, October 22, 1980 and passed away at the home of her son Harold, near Simla, August 14, 1941; at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to Wesley Whitfield Reeves on January 28, 1903. To this union seven sons were born, on of whom, Earl, preceded her in death. Her husband also preceded her in death two years ago. They came to Colorado in 1907 and took a homestead where they lived for 7 years. Later they purchased the farm near Simla where they made their home for the remainder of their lives. Left to mourn her death are her sons, Ernest of Grand Junction, Paul of Alma, Marshall, Harold, Virgil and Lester of Simla; 8 grandchildren, 7 brothers and sisters and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p. m. from the Evangelical Church.Rev. E. W. Ferrin officiating. Interment was in the Simla cemetery. Moved to MO from IL between 1874 (b of youngest child in IL) and 1880 (present in Howell Co MO census).
From the Mtn View X-RAY, reprinted in the West Plains Journal Feb 22, 1906: "Uncle Henry Bolerjack met with a little accident early this week which proved quite painful. A contusion, or bruise, was produced on his foot by contact with a knot." From Howell Co Post Office Book One, pg 140: "Three brothers - Thomas C., Henry, and Marion Bolerjack - all soldiers in the Federal Army, came from Illinois in 1873 and homesteaded in the vicinity [of Center Hill]."
This supports the view that these three are all sons of Joel H. Bolerjack, found in the 1850 White Co IL census.

Moved to White Co IL with his parents in 1816, at the age of around two.
Census confusion There are some obvious disscrepancies between census data years. The 1850 census has John older than Indiana (John 5, Indiana 2), while the 1860 has Indiana older (Indiana 15, John 13). William's age approximately right in both. Virginia is listed age 9 in the 1860 and does not appear in the 1870 - could have been married. Lucinda appears age 7 in the 1860, and | McKenzie, William C. (I3093)

Must have been related to Samuel P. Story? They married sisters. An elderly dau of Jessie Ellen Story (Samuel P's eldest dau), still living in 2001, indicated that she believes George T. Story was a cousin to Samuel P. Story.
From Jack STORY Jaelless@aol.com
There are lots of George Story's in our line and a lot not in our line. I do have the exact birthdate for Geo. Foster Story's son. It is 11 Nov 1849. Charity apparently changed the spelling to Storey as I believe she changed Samuel Patton to Samuel Paterson. I have two marriages I cannot identify the George's:
George Storey to Annie Vaughn, White Co IL 2 Mar 1893 George Story to Millie C Scott, Jefferson Co IL 17 May 1896
These men both in their 40's (and could be same man) at the time. Doubtful that Geo. T. and Geo. W. would be the same man. There is a Geo. Thomas Storey from White Co. area for whom there is no marriage record in Illinois. I don't have his approximate vitals at hand as I write.
