Clark, Vanney Gender: Female Spouse: John Black Marriage Date: Jul 02, 1865 County: Osage More About: This record can be found at the County Court Records, Film # 0913741 - 0913744 The marriage record lists the bride as Vanny Clark, but I believe it was misread. Nancy CLARK married John BLACK between 1863 and 1866 (the year of the birth of their first child). It was more than likely toward the latter end of the period. Putting this fact together with the fact that Nancy's father Isaac CLARK is found sometimes in Osage county, and sometimes in Howell county, I believe "Vanny" to be translated in error, from "Nancy" or "Nanny."
