      They moved to Kansas City soon after they were married and lived in a 1 room flat. She did cleaning for the rent and Herscel caddied at a golf course and played cards for money to have enough to get by on.«/b» «b» Pauline was born 2 months early and had to be in the hospital for 2 months and had 3 surgeries. Herscel hurt himself and couldn't work for a while. Beverly was born then. Ada and children came home to Mtn. View for a while and later went back to Kansas City aboaut 1939. They then moved ack to Mtn. View, where life was still hard for a long time. They cooked outside in the snow because there was no cookstove. Herscel hunted and cut wood for a living to proved for his family. In 1942, they went to Washington (during WWII). About 1943 or 44, they went to Michigan and worked for awhile whee Herscel's sister Ellen lived. After a short time they retirned and lived near Mtn. View until Herscel passed away in 1951 of heart problems.«/b» «b»
