• Notes

  Married: Oral family history: Curtis came home from military service with a German wife. She was not happy in the U.S. and subsequently returned to Germany. However, carded records on Ancestry.com from his later marriage to Versa Ruth Waters reflect that it was only his second marriage, the first having ended in his wife's death (Fonda). Perhaps he was not married to the German girl that he brought home?
