      Martha Jane West was born in Tennessee April 8, 1853, and departed this life at the home of son Oliver Bolerjack just west of this city, August 26 1927, at the age of 74 years, 4 months and 19 days.
      Miss West was married to Harrison Colcleasure when 20 years of age, whom she lived with for 18 months before his death. To this union one child was born. Mrs Mary Hall of Willow Springs.

      After the death of her husband she moved to Missouri, where she married M. H. Bolerjack in 1877. To this union 5 children were born, W.S. and O.R. Bolerjack of Mountain View, R.C Bolerjack of Springfield, and Chas. and Alta who died in childhood. Her husband, Marian H. Bolerjack, preceded her in death January 19, 1918.

      After her marriage to M. H. Bolerjack they homesteaded the land on which Center Hill No 1 church and cemetery are now located, having given the land and helped organize the church, of which they were both members at the time of their death.

      The remains were interred in Center Hill Cemetery Saturday, August 27, 1927.

      The bereaved relatives and friends have the sympathy of the community in their hour of sorrow.
