The Laclede County Republican:
"The pie supper at Dalton Saturday night was attended by a large and enthusiastic crowd. An interesting program was given by the children. Glen Barkley and Mark hackney furnished the music. Bernice Wood received the box of candy as the prettiest girl. Leona O'Dell and Ted Lathrop the jar of pickles for the most lovesick couple, A. R. Fulford the all-day-suckers for the biggest cry baby, and Eli Wood the bar of soap. They took in a little over $22, which will be used for playground equipment." |
