    "Hugh H. Gillmor, Former Donahue Resident, Is Dead

    Hugh H. Gillmor, 67, who was born near Davenport, Nov 19, 1871, died suddenly at his home one mile west of Dallas county, near DeSoto, Ia., according to word received here today.

    Funeral services were held from th Fisher Funeral home in Van Meter, Ia., with the Rev. W. L. Hawn, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. Fellow associates from the Van Meter Community club served as pallbearers. Burial was in a crypt at Glendale Abbey in Des Moines, Ia.

    Mr. Gillmor was the son of Stewart and Mary Gillmor, who came to this country when Davenport was a small village and it was here that he was born and reared, completing his education at Drake university. he married Julia Zindel of Davenport in 1904. The first eight years of their married life the couple lived on a farm near Donahue. In 1913 they moved to their present home near DeSoto where they engaged in farming.

    Besides his widow, two brothers, Frank Gillmor of near Davenport and I. F. Gillmor of Galesburg, Ill, and a sister, Miss Nellie Gillmor of Kansas City, mo.,m survive."
