" Stewart Gillmor
Stewart Gillmor, 71, of 3309 W. Denis St., Davenport, died Wednesday at his home.
He was employed 30 years with Meridian and Tanna Publishing Co. and he also was a real estate sales agent,
Mr. Gillmor married Vada Moeller in 1942 in Hannibal, Mo.
The body was donated to University of Iowa College of Medicine.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Orr's Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or a favorite charity,
He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving with the 82nd and 101st Airborne in the African, European and Middle Eastern theaters, He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of Davenport Elks Lodge 298 and American Legion, Donahue, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Reed, Davenport, and Craig and Kent, both of Donahue; a granddaughter; and a sister, Mary Ann Allen, Princeton, Mo." |
