"John Gillmor
Memorial services for John Fenton Gillmor, 63, of 3203 Greenbrier Driver, Bettendorf, will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church, Dixon.
The body has been donated to the University of Iowa Department of Anatomy, Iowa City.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the church.
Mr. Gillmor died Sunday at Veteran's Administration Hospital, Iowa City.
He had been employed 23 years at Culligan Water Conditioning, Davenport.
Mr. Gillmor married Evelyn Clemons in 1956 in Davenport.
He was an Army veteran of World Wr II, having served in the 194th Field Artiller, Batter C, in Italy, southern France and Germany.
He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars 9128, Bettendorf.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Eveanne Schwerdtfeger and Mrs. Ronald (Victoria) Anderson, both of Davenport; Sandra Sexton, Des Moines; and Coleen Gillmor, at home; sons, John Dawson and Mark Gillmor, both of Bettendorf; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; a sister, Mary Ann Allen, Trenton, Mo.; and a brother, Stewart, Davenport." |
