[S45] Illinois - Marriages, online, State Archives (1763 - 1900), ("Illinois Statewide Marriage Index, 1763-1900," (http://www.cyberdriveillinois.com/departments/archives/marriage.html)), entry for Charles W. Yates and Jane F. Walters, White County, Illinois, vol 3 (27 March 1849) (Reliability: 3).
Charles W. Yates to Jane F. Walters on 27 March 1849 in White County, Illinois.

This would seem likely to be the correct couple, since the 1850 White Co IL census indicates that Chesley W. Yates and wife Jane F. were married within the year. "Charley" may have been a misinterpretation in the transcription phase of the Illinois marriage project, or it may have been an alternate name for Chesley Yates.
