  Parents born in Tennessee; since she was born in Arkansas, and John W. Crowder lived in Ark for a brief time, there may have been some prior relationship. The families may even have known one another in Tennessee -- although that is just wild speculation. Buried near John W. Crowder is "Annie Crowder 1865 (age 26, wife of J. W.)". However, I believe she was born in 1855, and that she was 36 years old. It was probably her in the 1880 Howell Co census, pg 48: Household 52-52, head B. C. However, I believe it is possible that she was actually born in 1855 (see note), and that she died closer to 1900. At any rate, she is not in the home at the time of the 1900 census, and John W. is listed in the 1900 census as 'widowed.'
