  Per Baptismal Records, 1781-1808, some one-fourth of the membership of Zion (Morr's) Lutheran Church, near Freeburg, Snyder Co., PA, were/had been Rev. War soldiers: Jacob ROUSH (wife, Barbara; children: Eva Barbara, bap. 1783; Cath. Eliz., bap. 1784; Mary Eliz., bap. 1786; David, bap. 1798) Andrew & Barbara DILLMAN were the sponsors at Eve Barbara's baptism;

Roush, 1942), Vol II, pgs 118 - 121 ""John Roush, son of George and Christiana Morr Roush, born about 1785, near Freeburg [PA] and died at White House, Lucas Co. (Reliability: 3). , Ohio in 1846. His first wife was Catherine Bickel, who was born and died near Freeburg, Pa. His second wife was Salome Reddick, nee Glass, also of Freeburg. Salome died at White House, Ohio, in 1862. Both are buried at Waterville, same John was a mason. He and family were members of the Lutheran Church. It should be noted that some people called him "John Martin," but no evidence can be found for this. In the record book of the Zion Church near Freeburg is given the names of parents and baptisms and the name of "Martin," year 1787, son of George and Christina Roush is recorded in the year only. It is possible that the John Roush of Lucas Co Ohio was John Martin.
