James Robertson of Davidson County
Zachariah Walker, Senr., of Dickson County
page 206
Robertson conveys to Walker land on Barton's Creek; mentions the northeast corner of Elizabeth Walker and the west boundary of William Gibbins.
Made 9 Jan 1812
Witnesses, R.C. Napier, Simon Walker
This is an interesting transaction for several reasons. First, it connects two Walkers with an Elizabeth Walker: Simon [possibly Simeon?] and Zachariah Walker, Sr.
Additionally, the witness R.C. Napier was in command of a militia company, in which several Walkers were serving in 1812.
This is likely, however to be the widow of Vann Walker, since the same James Robertson conveyed to Elizabeth Walker, specified to be the widow of Vann Walker, land on Barton's Creek in April 1805. [See entries for Vann and Elizabeth Walker.] The Elizabeth Walker who was married to Vann Walker had the surname Robertson prior to marriage.
