- Laid his land warrant near Duck River and Defeated Creek in Hickman County Tennessee. Added to the original amount of lands until he "owned about 900 acres of valuable lands on both sides of the river." Established Walker's Ferry, one mile above Centerville When Allen WALKER came from North Carolina in 1815, with him came Ashley HICKMAN and his son-in-law, James WOFFORD. [1, 2]
