"Pvt. Ora DeBoard
Pvt. Ora DeBoard was inducted into the army April 25, 1946, at Jefferson Barracks. He was sent to Camp Roberts, Calif., where he took his basic training in the field artillery, then after a furlough at home was changed into the Infantry and sent to Ca,p Van Dorn, Miss. After eight weeks there he sailed from New york the 10th of December and landed in Italy. He was in northern Italy when the Germans surrendered there, and has one battle star. His wife, the former. R. DeBoard of Hocomo." |
