Although the Hartley family was enumerated in 1820 Dickson County, Tennessee, and were believed to have lived there continuously until their move to Bond County, Illinois, about 1831, Dianne Erwin (Hartley descendant and researcher) posted information on the Cedar County website that indicates that Solomon, alone of the Hartley children, was born in Roane County, Tennessee. [2]
