    Farm boy of James William and Minnie DeBoard Deaton along with Estle, Floyd, Carrie, and Walter

    Baseball Player, Oklahoma University

    Married: Carolyn M. Sayler, the Queenbee, 1941, who survives him after 66 years of marriage.

    Family man: Son William J. Deaton. M.D., and Patti, who is gone; grandchildren Carolyn Atkinson and Doug (1st is on the way), and Christina Deaton - attorneys all, made him happy and proud.

    WWII: Third Army (Patton), Bastogne, Belgium to Linz, Austria earning a Bronze Star for dodging Nazi machine gun and sniper fire while toting injured American soldiers from the field of battle. Liberators of Mauthausen Concentration Camp and greeters of Russians at the most eastern American front.

    Business man: CEO Frazier Sports, Waco, Texas; from a two man venture to a thriving Corporation.

    LeRoy, a man, one of many of that generation, although reared in poverty not known today, from the farm in the Oklahoma Dust Bowl , never complained.
