Named as Allen in 1900 census, age 1 Named as William in 1910 census, age 11 Newspaper account dated 7 July 1910 states that "Allen" the son of Joel Bolerjack drowned in a pond on Thursday. The paper is dated Thursday and it seems unlikely to be the same day, but the gravestone gives his birth as Oct 1898 [hard to read, but Oct is clear) and Allen's bd in the 1900 census was Oct 1898. The newspaper also says he was age 1--a likely typo, as he would have been age 11. And a one-year-old would have stumbled into a pond, not have been swimming in it.
