  	From The Oregonian: \"Zumwalt, Wilmer L 86 Sept. 27, 1925 Oct. 26, 2011 There will be a military service at Willamette National Cemetery on Monday, Nov. 14, 2011, at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:15 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Oregon City, 819 John Adam Street, Oregon City. Wilmer was born in Mountain View, Mo. and moved to the Gresham area with his family in 1938. He served in the Navy during World War II. He was on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga in the Pacific theater. Wilmer worked for 25 years at the Troutdale, Reynolds Metals Aluminium Plant. From 1972 to 1999 he farmed with his son, Bill, in the Columbia Basin in Wash. and in Madras. He and his wife, Evelyn \"Pep\", returned to Sandy in 2000. Pep died in 2003. Wilmer is survived by his brothers, Marvin (Vivian) and Wayne (Pat); and his children, Charlie (Renae), Carol Culpepper (Jim), Bill (Caroline), Linda Albin (Kenny); seven grand- children; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces; nephews; and close friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Roley, in 1997. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Providence Hospice or a cancer organization of your choice.\"
