Notes |
It seems likely that there was some estrangement between Levi's first family and his second. James Fred "Fred" Walker, a son of his second marriage died in 1958 and his obituary named his living full siblings, stated that he had two sisters that died before him, and even stated that he had two half-brothers who died before him. The two step-brothers referenced must have been Charles and Norman Holmes, the sons of Winnie's first marriage. No mention was made of any of his half-siblings from Levi's first marriage. [20]
