    Obituary:

    "Death of Wash Arbogast

    Wash Arbogast, a former resident of West Plains and well known to all the older settlers of this section [sic] died Sunday at his home in Wichita, Kansas, after an extended illness with stomach trouble. He was aged 42 years. Mr. Arbogast received his education in West Plains and learned the printer's trade here. He left West Plains about fifteen years ago and went East, but afterwards returned to the West and located at Wichita, where h became editor of the Wichita Beacon, a position he occupied at the time of his death.

    Mr. Arbogast married in Wichita nine years ago, and his widow and a daughter four years old survive him. The other relatives are his father, Philip Arbogast, of Thomasville; three sisters, Mrs. C. S. Hill, of West Plains; Mrs. T. H. Walker and Mrs. W. F. Barnett, of Webb City, Mo., and a brother, Ed Arbogast of Stroudsburg, Penn. The heartfelt sympathies of the many friends of the deceased go out to the bereaved relatives of their sorrow."
