Obituary:
"EDWARD P. ARBOGAST
Edward P. Arbogast, 81, formerly of Stroudsburg, died Saturday morning at the home of his son, Charles H. P. Arbogast, Pearl River, N. Y.
Born in a wagon train in the west, he moved to Stroudsburg in 1892 where he continued to make his home until moving with his son four years ago. He helped construct the Wilkes-Barre and Erie Railroad. He was a member of the Stroudsburg First Presbyterian church; Badger Lodge No. 325, F and A.M., Stroudsgurg; a charter member of the Stroudsburg Kiwanis club and had served on the board of governors of the Monroe county automobile Assn.
Besides his son he is survived by three sisters: Mrs. Carick S. Jill, Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Thomas H. Walker, Santa Cruz, Calif.; and Mrs. W. F. Barnett, White Water, Wis., a brother James H. Arbogast, Stroudsburg, and three grandchildren." |
