  RESEARCH	Something odd about this. It seems generally accepted across the internet that he died in 1929. However, his death cert lists father "[Gilmour?] Story" and does not name a mother. It also doesn't give a birth year close to the 1891 of the subject George. I can find little in newspapers, no obit or other story in Atchison Co. [from what is available at Newspaper.com, or GenealogyBank.com]. Uncertain if we have the right guy.

  	Death certificate on the Missouri State Archives site, for George Story, with this date of death. The informant had very little information. The birth year was stated as 1898 (which is not correct for our George Story), and the name of his father and mother was unknown by the informant. However, in the details, it offers the fact that he came down with pneumonia in Westboro, Atchison Co MO. He was known to be in Atchison Co.

The latter must be in error, as the marriage license application is dated 22 March 1884. It states Sam's age as 28, and Minnie's age as 14.
