Statement of Josephine H. Jones, great niece of Hannah V. Walker:"I knew Hannah Vadalia Walker, "Aunt Hannie," Elijah's third sister. I remember her in a long black dress, sitting by the fireplace and teaching me the 23rd Psalm. She had been a school teacher, never married." [7] |

- Pratt and Fondy both listed George's wife as "Polly Adams." If he was married to a Polly Adams, it was prior to this marriage, and must have ended in her early death. Could Polly Adams have been the object of the bastardy bond in 1824?
Descendant Josephine H. Jones offers a marriage date of 9 September 1823, but no place of marriage.
