Notes |
- Moved to MO from IL between 1874 (b of youngest child in IL) and 1880 (present in Howell Co MO census).
From the Mtn View X-RAY, reprinted in the West Plains Journal Feb 22, 1906: "Uncle Henry Bolerjack met with a little accident early this week which proved quite painful. A contusion, or bruise, was produced on his foot by contact with a knot." From Howell Co Post Office Book One, pg 140: "Three brothers - Thomas C., Henry, and Marion Bolerjack - all soldiers in the Federal Army, came from Illinois in 1873 and homesteaded in the vicinity [of Center Hill]."
This supports the view that these three are all sons of Joel H. Bolerjack, found in the 1850 White Co IL census.
Crumbled stones that Daddy and I pieced together, taken from Center Hill Cemetery, Howell Co MO.
" - J. Bolerjack born Nov 24 1835 died May 25 1---- Gone to be with the angels."
Fragment:
"-- ry C. wife of [Probably a portion of the stone of Henry's wife, Mary C. BRILL BOLERJACK]
Fragment: "-ied March 14 1895" [? around the time that their son John F. would have died?]
Fragment: "H.J. & "
Fragment: "ohn" [Probably John]
Fragment: "BOLER[just the lower portion of letters showing, but pretty clearly indicates which letters] born Feb 16 18--" [8]
