Roush reunion article, naming many descendants: \"Roush Family\'s First Reunion Held At Elevenpoints Sunday
The first Roush family reunion was held Sunday, August 21, at the R. E. Roush home on Elevenpoints, seven miles south of Mountain View.
Approximately 100 members of the Roush family met for a basket dinner and afternoon of visiting and recalling old times.
Of the original family, only five children are living who are R. E. Roush, Mrs. J. M. Morris of Paola, Kan.; Mrs. Lem Gilliam of Peace Valley, Mrs. Della Payne of Peace Valley and Mrs. Mitchel Winchester of Charlotte, Ark. Mrs. Winchester and Mrs. Morris had not seen one another in thirty years.
Besides the brother and four sisters other members of the family present were:
Mr. and Mrs. Wade Morris and daughter, Wayne of Paola, Kan.; Mitchell Winchester, Charlotte, Ark.\' P. E. Payne and daughters, Dorothy and Mary Catherine and Florence Hubbard; Mrs. and Mrs. Adam Gilliam and son , Orville; Mr. and Mrs. Roy Benton and two daughters, Velma and Betty Jean; Mrs. Lexie Gilliam and two sons, Cecil and Virgil; Lem Gilliam, Jim Gilliam, Sallie Payne, all of Peace Valley, Mo.
