  Hurshel DeBord indicates that he believes John DeBoard's father to be George Debord, who married Lydia Debord 8 Nov 1803 Surry Co NC with Ben Deboard as bondsman. This George shows up in the 1820 and 1830 census for Surry Co NC and the 1840 census for Washington co VA. This is not documented in any other way. Hurshel believes that GW DeBoard married Lydia DeBoard. Hurshel Debord believes that he had 2 sons and 5 daughters - based on census info.
