- [S390] Clark, Alexander - Wake County NC, bastardy bond (1807), («i»Betty Camin's Home Page«/i», "North Carolina Bastardy Bonds by County" (http://home.earthlink.net/~bcamin/bastardy.htm : accessed 26 Sept 2007), Wake County, entry for Julia Kilgo, 21 Aug 1807; citing the book by Betty Camin and Edwin A Camin, «i»North Carolina Bastardy Bonds«/i» (Mount Airy, North Carolina : B.J. and E.A. Camin, 1990)).
Alexander CLARK grew up in Wake county, NC. He was born between 1778 and 1780. A 1781 partial listing of Wake county, NC, taxpayers in the Captain Daniel's District shows a Benjamin CLARK with 96 acres, one horse or mule, and personal belongings valued at 15 pounds. I speculate that Benjamin CLARK is a likely candidate for the father of Alexander CLARK
