  Narrative	Quoted from DJ Brannan's register report: "Glen and Thelma (Gilmore) Crampton and their infant son, Glen, survived the bombing of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941. Glen was a sheet metal worker who worked for the military, and he and his fellow sheet metal workers were credited with saving the lives of many sailors trapped in overturned, sinking ships following the attack. Glen continued to serve the military as a civilian throughout WWII. Glen Crampton continued his career as a sheet metal worker in Bremerton, Washington, and Lancaster, California, where he retired. Thelma was a beautician and housewife. The Cramptons were avid rock hounds, with an award-winning collection, and they also donated considerable hours of service to the United Methodist Church, the Oddfellows, the Rebekkahs and the Lancaster Desert Hospital. Glen and Thelma (Gilmore) Crampton had three sons, surname Crampton."  [1]
