Lewis was the father of James Boyd Campbell's step mother, Mary Jane (Griffith) Campbell Jones. Immediately following his entry for the death of Lewis Griffith, is the death of Susan Griffith (date illegible). There is a marriage in Oregon County, Missouri, (1846) between Lewis Griffith and Susan McWhorter.
