Olive Kendall Patten
female, white, widow
born 17 June 1868, Ohio
age 41 years, 9 months, 4 days
no occupation
Father: James M. Kendall, born Ohio
Mother: Jerusha Kenall, born Ohio
Informant: M.G. Kendall, of St. Louis, Mo [address given, hard to read]
Date of death: 21 March 1910
Cause: cerebral softening
Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, 23 March 1910
This would appear to have been John Hiatt Patten's first wife. He was a patent medicine salesman, and since Olive is listed as widowed, he probably left her to start his second marriage with Nellie. It is not clear whether May, listed in the 1920 census is yet another wife.
